Visit the University
of Guelph
With the objective of promoting education in agriculture in northeastern Ontario, we are organizing a trip for secondary students grade 11 or higher to University of Guelph. During this visit, students will tour the university's agricultural programs, network with current students and professors, and experience campus life during the annual College Royal. Our tours will highlight several agriculture careers programs, with special focus on the Ontario Veterinary College, aiming to inspire students to pursue veterinary careers and return to practice in the north, addressing the critical shortage of veterinary care in regions of the northeast. The itinerary includes interactive workshops with 4H Ontario, AgScapes, and University of Guelph, research facility tours, and engaging networking opportunities to provide an overview of the opportunities in agriculture and veterinary sciences.
